Mission Watercolor paints are an excellent choice for both professional and student artists.

Mission Watercolor paints are the first watercolor paints in the world that are manufactured without a thickening agent, which causes  granulation of pigments.

The thickening agent, silicon dioxide, used by other color makers prevents the even spread of paint because paint pigments with silicon dioxide added become  granular.   The researchers of Mijello have invented Mission Watercolor paints, which have high viscosity without the use of thickening agent for the first time.  Mission Watercolor paints are therefore able to show chromatically pure, clear colors, without granulation  when using both single and mixed colors.
“Are Mission Watercolor paints too strong?”
This is the a common question posed to us from artists who try  Mission Watercolors.  Mijello researchers formulated Mission Watercolors from densely concentrated pigments.  Mission Watercolors were developed with pure pigments, as close as 100% as possible.   If you have strongly pigmented colors, you can easily control the strength of colors just by adding water.  It is easy to dilute paint with water, but it is difficult to do the opposite; therefore, Mission Watercolor provides a wider latitude of control.  Artists often comment that Mission Watercolors are economical because they last much longer than other brands of watercolor paint.

Mission Watercolors have strong colors and can be easily controlled, making them appropriate for a variety of applications. Designers choose Mission Watercolors because they can create an unlimited multi-dimensional effect without using poster colors.
1. We recommend using less paint on your brush when you use Mission because it has strong colors.

- Rose Madder
-Tested exactly same amount of paint (30mg each)
-Tested on professional watercolor papers
-Painted in the circle of diameter 26.5mm

2. I don’t understand this text or the context.
You can create more settling colors by adding a very small amount of black because Mission was formulated from densely concentrated pigments to give strong colors
3. Mission Watercolor paints provide excellent coverage because of their intense pigmentation.  When designers want to have opacity in their work,  they can add can a small amount of Mission White.  When used in this manner, Mission Watercolors can replace gouache or poster colors.

4.Because Mission is strongly pigmented color, artists can easily pick up colors with their brushes even from dried paints on the palette.  There is no need to pre-spray water on your old dry paints when using Mission.

5. Mission’s intensely  pigmented color is ideal for painting perspective.  By controlling the amount of water used with the paint, the illusion of perspective can be achieved by painting close objects with stronger colors and distant objects with lighter and weaker colors.

  3. These watercolors are WORSE THAN CRAYOLAS. They don't provide good pigment AT ALL. Their pigments are NOT natural, and their comparisons are BIASED. If you want GOOD watercolors, try Holbein, Winsor and Newton, Daniel Smith, M. Graham, Schmincke, Sakura Koi, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Old Holland, or Daler-Rowney. These might work good for you, but I've been working with watercolors for more than 25 years, took fine arts in college, and took watercolor classes since I was 3. Don't invest for these. They're horrible, and their price is absurd for their quality...
